Peace Parks

Partnering with the Peace Parks Foundation means joining a visionary organisation committed to restoring and conserving large ecosystems in Africa through the creation of Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) known as "peace parks." Founded in 1997 by Dr Anton Rupert, President Nelson Mandela, and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, the Foundation has been instrumental in establishing ten of the 18 TFCAs in southern Africa.

Their work goes beyond man-made boundaries, fostering cooperation among nations for the sustainable management of shared natural resources. By engaging with governments, securing funding, and implementing innovative strategies, Peace Parks revitalises habitat integrity, protects biodiversity, and empowers local communities through nature-based tourism and enterprises. Partnering with the Peace Parks Foundation not only contributes to the conservation of Africa's natural heritage but also promotes regional peace and stability through transboundary cooperation.
