Ashley is a driven environmentalist with a passion for sustainable development and community empowerment. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cape Peninsula University of Technology before pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management at Stellenbosch University.
Currently undertaking her MPhil in Environmental Management, Ashley's research focuses on exploring the barriers to adopting climate-resilient sanitation in informal settlements. With a future goal of researching community-based natural resource management, she has joined AWEI as an intern, where she is dedicated to researching wildlife harvesting enterprises in the SADC region.
Ashley's career path is steered by her unwavering dedication to environmental conservation and her mission to uplift marginalised and undereducated communities.
