Dr Joseph Mbaiwa is Director of the Okavango Research Institute (ORI), and Professor of Tourism Studies at the University of Botswana. He holds a Ph.D. Recreation, Park & Tourism Sciences (Texas A&M University) and his research interests are in tourism development, rural livelihoods and conservation.
