The illegal trade in bushmeat represents a severe conservation threat in several African countries. However, in Namibia, wildlife-based land uses (WBLU) and the legal production of game meat have the potential to contribute significantly to conservation, food security and the economy of the country. This research presents insights into WBLU on freehold land in the country and links with food security gained from a survey.
