Stellenbosch is situated in the heart of the Winelands, in one of the most beautiful and heritage conscious towns. With its temperate climate, scenic environment and well-maintained facilities, Stellenbosch is the second-oldest town in South Africa and affectionately referred to as the “Eikestad”. Whether it’s the magnificent backdrop of mountain ranges you seek, perhaps just a scenic drive or wine tasting at one of the many surrounding wine farms, you will never run out of things to see and do.

The Protea Hotel Techno Park, Stellenbosch is about 32km from Cape Town International Airport and about 40 minutes from Cape Town City Centre.

A provisional block accommodation booking with special reduced rates has been arranged at the Protea Hotel Techno Park, Stellenbosch.

This block booking will be released by Friday, 24 January 2024. Please ensure that you book your accommodation before then to qualify for the special rates.

Please take note of the following:

All rates quoted include VAT at the prevailing rate of 15% but exclude government room levy.

Accommodation will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Should you book accommodation telephonically, please remember to mention that you are booking for the Postgraduate Supervision Conference. Should you fail to do this, the hotel might inform you that they are fully booked.

The hotel will confirm your accommodation reservation directly with you.

Please familiarise yourself with the accommodation cancellation policy as stipulated by the hotel.

All rooms not sold will be released 90 days prior to the event.

All reservations made 90 days and less will be subject to availability.

Accommodation Cancellation policy:

90 - 60 days prior to the event - 50% of the total cost will be charged

59 - 30 days prior to the event - 90% of the total cost will be charged

29 - 14 days prior to the event - 100% of the total cost will be charged

Directions to the hotel:

From Cape Town – On the N2 (to Airport), take the Somerset West turnoff. Follow road for approximately 11km until you get to the Stellenbosch Golf Course, above the Spier Kleine Zalze Golf Course in Stellenbosch’s newly developed Techno Park. Approximately 32km from the airport and 40 minutes from Cape Town City Centre.
