Virginia Catherine Nyauma possesses a robust academic background, holding a Master’s degree and a Postgraduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Africa Nazarene University. This is complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Programming from Kenyatta University. Her master’s research focused on monitoring and evaluation interventions and the sustainability of community-based conservancies, with specific focus on the Mara North Conservancy. As a Kantar Public Fellow on Applied Monitoring and Evaluation in Africa and an LGT fellow on data analytics, Virginia has accumulated over five years of invaluable experience as a research, monitoring, and evaluation specialist in the dynamic fields of conservation and climate justice.

Her PhD research will intricately explore the interplay of rangeland management, conservation, and livelihood improvement in Africa.
