Lukhanyo Qamarana

Profile

Lukhanyo Qamarana is a certified economic developer and stakeholder management specialist. He is a passionate change agent working within the developmental arena for over 13 years in interventions to facilitate regional and local economic development (RLED) mainly in the Western Cape province of South Africa, through the provision of support and advice to regional and local governments as well as business. He has been and is currently involved in project management, strategy development, stakeholder management, and capacity building with municipal officials around economic development planning and implementation. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development (cum laude) from the CST at Stellenbosch University. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology from Stellenbosch University, and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Marketing at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He is a certified economic developer – a certification obtained from the Economic Development Council of South Africa (EDCSA) – after completing studies in Local Economic Development (LED) from the University of the Western Cape.
