The Centre for Sustainability will host trauma-informed integrated wellbeing practitioner, Wanjîkū J. Kîarîe, for a once-off workshop that introduces the connection between humans and the five elements: earth, water, ether, air, and fire. Primary focus of the workshop will be embracing the earth element and its role in human life. The session will start with an introduction to how the earth element impacts our physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being from birth to death. Following this, focus will transition into an embodied practice in nature, allowing participants to directly experience and integrate the grounding energy of the earth element. This session is designed to combine reflective learning and practical experience, helping you attune to the earth element and inviting you to reconnect with nature.
The workshop takes place on Tuesday 12 November 2024, from 10am – noon (12pm), in-person at the Centre for Sustainability Transitions, 19 Jonkershoek Road, Stellenbosch. Register for the workshop at https://forms.office.com/r/gvmarmT32G. Registration is essential.
