Dr. Cecile Feront
Profile
Cecile is a research fellow at the Centre for Sustainability Transitions, a lecturer/supervisor on the MPhil programme and a contributor to the Embedding Project. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from UCT Graduate School of Business, an MPhil and a PGDip (both Cum Laude) in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University, and a Masters in economics and finance from the Sciences Po (Paris, France). She also holds a degree in coaching from UCT Graduate School of Business. Prior to engaging in academic research, she worked as an entrepreneur and consultant for 15 years. She have gained broad experience in strategy and management through my past roles, including as co-founder and Vice President of Strategy for Reef Software and a Director for Mulilo Renewable Energy.
Her area of research focuses on how individuals and organisation engage with change towards sustainability. She is passionate about transformative agency and how people become actively engaged in work aimed at addressing societal issues.
