Keziah Mayer

Profile

Keziah Mayer completed her MPhil in Environmental Management (cum laude), PGDip in Environmental Management and BSc Earth Science degrees at Stellenbosch University. Her MPhil focused on the resilience of community and ecosystem-based adaptation in the global South, where she referenced a case in the Lesotho Highlands.

Keziah’s PhD investigates social-ecological stewardship initiatives, or so-called “seeds”, and looks into whether these seeds can contribute to transformative changes in the social-ecological systems that they arise from. These seeds can be used to develop and explore visions of a more positive and just futures, or good Anthropocenes, as well as investigate pathways to these imagined futures.
