Thank you, Dr Sarah Camp! A week before her November exams commenced, she cycled from Ukwanda in Worcester to her hometown in Hillcrest, Durban, in just 10 days to raise more than R30 000 to help students clear their debt.

A total of 132 golfers, which included alumni, friends of the University and regular donors, has made our 5th Danie Craven Golf Day a resounding success. Their generosity raised just over R1 million, in aid of education bursaries for Maties Rugby Players.
In November, a total of 120 alumni gathered for the launch of our Zimbabwe Alumni Chapter. Did you know? The eldest graduated in 1969 and the youngest in March 2023.
We launched our Nairobi Maties Alumni Chapter at the end of 2023. The volunteer committee is geared to make a positive impact by identifying Kenyan students for SU programmes, and strengthening partnerships with local universities where many Maties now hold influential roles.
