Thanks to a generous grant by the Epoch and Optima Trusts, RESEP (Research on Socioeconomic Policy) – a group of researchers in the Department of Economics – will embark on a five-year programme of research that will focus on the multi-faceted topic of learning gaps in the South African school system.
