About the Conference
The Nano-Satellite Symposium has been a part of the “Hodoyoshi Project”, which was granted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in the “Funding Program for World-Leading Innovative R&D on Science and Technology (FIRST Program)” initiated by the Council for Science and Technology Policy (CSTP) of Cabinet Office, Government of Japan (JSPS Official site).
The first Nano-Satellite Symposium was in 2010 in Tokyo. The 2nd to 6th ones were in Japan: 2011 in Tokyo, 2011 in Kitakyushu, 2012 in Nagoya, 2013 in Tokyo, and 2015 in conjunction with the 30th ISTS in Kobe. The 7th one was in Varna, Bulgaria. The 8th, 9th, and 10th ones were in Japan, in conjunction with the 31st, 32nd, and 33rd ISTS. The 11th one was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, while the 12th one was in conjunction with the 34th ISTS in Kurume, Japan. The 13th Nano-Satellite Symposium will be in the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, South Africa, for the first time on the African continent and only the third time outside of Japan. The Nano-Satellite symposium is organized jointly with UNISEC Global.
