What’s next for Zimbabwe’s wildlife economy?
15 Feb - 14 Mar 2024
In 2022, the African Wildlife Economy Institute (AWEI) organised a first series of dialogues on Zimbabwe's Wildlife Economy. These were held in support of research being undertaken by the Government of Zimbabwe with support from the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and the Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA).
In September 2023, the Government of Zimbabwe released its Zimbabwe Biodiversity Economy (ZBE) Report, which states that it is dedicated to building its wildlife economy.
In support of this commitment, AWEI, in partnership with ZELA, ShareScreen Africa, and Oppenheimer Generations Research and Conservation organised a second series of five online dialogues focusing on key opportunities highlighted in the ZBE Report. These took place every Thursday between 15 February and 14 March 2024.
