At the prestigious Matie Sport Awards evening held at the Protea Hotel in Stellenbosch, the Hockey club walked away with the top accolades on offer.
Both the Sport man of the Year -Pierre de Voux; as well as Sport woman of the Year Quanita Bobbs are Matie Hockey players.
Further to these two awards Jenny King received the Coach of the Year award and the Maties Ladies First team received the Team of the Year award.

These are truly magnificient achievements and we wish all involved, whether directly or indirectly, a well deserved congratulations in making Maties Hockey the club it is today.
The club is continually striving to set new benchmarks in club sport as a whole and it is most satisfying to see that the effort being put in by all are paying such high dividends.
