Die voorsitter is oorhoofs vir die bestuur van die ASA verantwoordelik.
Die voorsitter se hooftaak is om deur sy/haar leiding en hulp te verseker dat die bestuur hul portefeuljes goed uitvoer en afhandel.
Die voorsitter is ook verantwoordelik vir die beeld van die komitee binne die fakulteit en buite op die wyer kampus.
Ander verantwoordelikhede sluit in die verteenwoordiging van ASA-lede op die Akademiese Belangeraad sowel as die Fakulteitsraad.
Mnqobi Zuma (ABR & Ondervoorsitter)
Departement van Bosbou en Houtkunde
Plig:
Een van ASA se kernfunksies is om na die akademiese belange van Agri-studente om te sien.
Die persoon verteenwoordig die assosiasie saam met die voorsitter op die Akademiese Belange Raad (ABR).
Dit bied ASA 'n direkte skakel met die SR deur die voorsitter van die ABR.
In die portefeulje word akademiese aangeleenthede soos klagtes van studente, programwysigings en algemene universiteitsbeleid hanteer.
Die portefeulje bied goeie blootstelling aan die onderskeie universiteit-strukture en hoe dit funksioneer.
Rob Parker (Sekretaresse)
Departement van Voedselwetenskap
Plig:
Die sekretaris is verantwoordelik vir die algemene administrasie van die assosiasie.
Take sluit in die opstel van agendas, die neem van notules gedurende vergaderings, instandhouding van die kantoor en hulp met algemene administratiewe sake.
Caylynn Louw (Tesourier)
Departement van Bewaringsekologie en Entomologie; Lanbou
Plig:
Die tesourier is verantwoordelik vir die hantering van die assosiasie se finansies.
Goeie ondervinding word opgedoen ten opsigte van die funksionering van die finansiële strukture van die universiteit.
ʼn Finansiële beplanning word aan die begin van die termyn gedoen en deur die persoon toegepas.
Ben Brooker (Bemarking)
Departement van Genetika
Plig:
Die Bemarkingsportefeulje behels die bemarking van ASA onder die Fakulteit van AgriWetenskappe sowel as studente op breër kampus.
Die portefeulje is van kardinale belang vir die assosiasie om relevant te bly op kampus.
Die persoon is ook verantwoordelik vir die instandhouding van die ASA-webtuiste en Facebook blad.
Nonkululeko Ntinga (Gemeenskap)
Departement van Agronomie (Akwakultuur)

Hierdie portefeulje is ‘n nuwe toevoeging tot die struktuur van die komitee.
Die oogmerk met die portefeulje is om gemeenskapsinteraksie te inisieer vanuit die fakulteit deur samewerking met die SR se gemeenskapsinteraksie-en omgewingsake portefeuljes se projekte.
Nuwe gemeenskapsinisiatiewe vanuit die ASA vir Agri-studente word ook aangemoedig, soos byvoorbeeld die organisering van ‘n boomplantdag, sprekers vanuit die bedryf organiseer om te kom gesels met voorgraadse studente of ander vorme van uitreik na die gemeenskap.

Eerstejaars en verwelkoming
Die Eerstejaarsportefeulje sluit in die reël van 'n verwelkomings funksie vir die Eerstejaars en departementele besoeke gedurende die verwelkomingsweek aan die begin van die jaar.
Nagraadse- en finale jaar studente
Die persoon is verantwoordelik vir die kommunikasie met nagraadse-en finale jaar studente op die kampus.
Die nagraadse studente maak steeds 'n bydrae tot die Universiteit en daarom moet hulle op hoogte gehou word van wat in die fakulteit gebeur soos onder andere die dans en ander sosiale geleenthede.
Organisering van werkswinkels en/of praatjies vir finalejaar-en nagraadse studente val ook onder hierdie portefeulje.
Adri Meyer (Sosiaal)
Departement van Veekunde
Plig:
Hierdie portefeulje is ‘n nuwe toevoeging tot die struktuur van die komitee.
ASA reël jaarliks ʼn dans van hoogstaande gehalte.
Die persoon is hoofsaaklik daarvoor verantwoordelik om die dans te reël, sowel as sokkies en ander sosiale geleenthede wat gedurende die jaar plaasvind.

Duty:
The chair is mainly responsible for the management of the ASA.
The chairs main responsibility is to ensure through his/her guidance that the rest of the committee manage their portfolios and complete it.
The chair is also responsible for the image of the committee within the faculty and on campus.
Other responsibilities include the representation of the ASA-members on the Academic Affairs Council as well as the Faculty Council.
Mnqobi Zuma (ABR & Vice-Chair)
Department of Forestry and Wood Science
Duty:
One of the ASAs concerns is to look after the academic affairs of the Agri-students.
This member represents the association with the chair on the Academic Affairs Council (ABR).
This offers ASA a direct link with the SRC through the chairperson of the ABR. In this portfolio academic matters like complaints, program changes and general university policies are dealt with.
This portfolio offers good exposure to various university structures and how they function.
Rob Parker (Secretary)
Department of Food Science
Duty:
The secretary is responsible for the general administration of the association.
Tasks include the set-up of agendas, taking minutes during meetings, upkeep of the office and helping with general administrative tasks.
Caylynn Louw (Treasurer)
Department of Conservation Ecology and Entomology; Agricultural Economics
Duty:
The treasurer is responsible for the handling of the associations finances.
Good experience is gained in terms of the functioning of the financial structures of the university.
Financial planning is done at the beginning of the term and is applied.
Ben Brooker (Marketing)
Department of Genetics
Duty:
The Marketing portfolio involves the marketing of ASA under the Faculty of AgriSciences as well as the students on campus.
The portfolio is essential for the association to stay relevant on campus.
This member is also responsible for the maintenance of the ASA website and Facebook Page.
Nonkululeko Ntinga (Community)
Department of Agronomy (Aquaculture)
Duty:
This portfolio is a new addition to the structure of the committee.
The aim is to initiate community interaction from the faculty by cooperation with the SRs projects including community interaction and environment issue portfolio projects.
New community interactions from the ASA for the Agri-students are also encouraged, for example by organizing a tree planting day, speakers from the industry to talk to students and other forms of outreaches to the community.

First Years and Welcoming
The First Years portfolio includes the organization of a welcoming function for the first years and departmental visits during the welcoming week in the beginning of the year.
Post Graduates and Final Years
This member is responsible for the communication with post graduates and final year students on campus.
The post graduates still make a contribution to the University of Stellenbosch and therefore they should be updated on what is happening in the faculty including the dance and other social events.
Organization of workshops and/or talks for final year- and post graduate students are also part of this portfolio.
Adri Meyer (Social)
Department of Animal Science
Duty:
ASA organizes a dance annually of an outstanding quality.
This member organizes an end of the year dance of outstanding prestige, other events under their portfolio include 'sokkies' which run throughout the year as well as many braais and a potjie competition.
