and innovative student leaders who provide you, our members opportunities to develop holistically. The House Committee ensures that our members are afforded support to
integrate both academically and socially. Furthermore, with a strong focus on student
success we believe in building relationships and maintaining a much needed balanced
lifestyle allowing all members to

The House Committee members are elected annually for a 1 year term and are allocated various portfolios as seen below.
House Committee members are responsible for:
- Determining the strategic direction of the PSO
- The administration of the PSO
- Maintaining of order and discipline in the interest of the PSO
- The fostering of unity and active membership

JB
Junior Management or the JB (Junior Bestuur) as they are more commonly known, is a vibrant group of second year students who are afforded the opportunity to not only showcase their talents but they also get a chance to lead.
The JB with many other members help make your welcoming experience one to remember. They are also responsible for organising one of Aurora's highlights, the annual Culture Evening - An event not be missed.
2013 will see the launch of an exciting leadership development programme, specially designed to equip the JB with the skills to continue growing within the leadership of Aurora PSO and do so much more.
This is a committee that RISES TO THE CHALLENGE!
MENTORS
AURORA PSO believes that our Mentor System can grow by enabling first years to build relationships with their mentor. In this way building trust, creating a bond and ensuring the success of personal and academic well-being.
We do this by creating sincere relationships amongst the leaders of our PSO (JB, Mentors, HK , Seniors Committee), by ensuring that our first years understand the concept of a Mentor and making sure that our Mentors understand their role and fulfil it to the best of their ability, and once bonds have been created, Mentees will be able to trust their Mentors, enabling Mentors to guide them academically, socially and personally.
SENIORS
The Seniors Committee is a group of individuals chosen by the HK of Seniors to create a welcoming and homely atmosphere. They act as a link to the HK and source of guidance for first years during welcoming week and further.
They are individuals who have a great sense of pride for their PSO and with it as a driving force to create new traditions and honour the old ones with our values as their foundation.
The committee is committed to do what's best for the PSO and therefore their values, mission statement and vision are in line with the PSO and its values. Therefore the committee itself is given the opportunity to create its own 'personality'.
