Prochorus Project
Aurora PSO takes pride in welcoming and molding newcomers to a different environment. Therefore through this Aurora PSO takes pride in being involved in Maties Community Service, where one can take time out of their day to interact, listen and positively inspire someone else's life.
In the year 2015, Aurora PSO( Aurora Private Student Organisation) will be giving some extra attention to the young minds of the future. As a PSO, we feel like making a difference starts with one person being able to mentor, invest and influence another person's future in a positive way.
This year we decided to work with Prochorus in Jonkershoek. Prochorus in Jonkershoek, is one of the youngest branches of a widely spread church based organisation who focuses on the development of a certain community. Together with Prochorus we identified three programmes in which we can further and expose these children to improve their skills:
Netball practices
Homework sessions with 4-6 year olds
Homework sessions with 7-14 year olds
General Information
- Prochorus is situated in Jonkershoek, 5-10 minutes drive.
- Sessions take place every Thursday, where we gather at the house and leave 16:30 and come back 17:30/18:00.
- Any member is welcome to come,because it's voluntary work.
