AWEI at APAC (Africa Protected Areas Congress)

-
Kigali Convention Centre

Kigali
Rwanda

The overarching objective of the IUCN Africa Protected Areas Congress (APAC) is to position Africa protected and conserved areas within the broader goals of economic development and community well-being and to increase the understanding of vital role parks play in conserving biodiversity and delivering the ecosystem services that underpin human welfare and livelihoods.

AWEI is very much looking forward to APAC! In partnership with Oppenheimer Generations Research and Conservation, we are hosting several events and participating in many others.

The wildlife economy is hot topic at the Congress as it connects many sustainability dots at the landscape level - biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and community well-being. We very much look forward to engaging with you there!
