Jascha Muller returns to the CGA after a six month student exchange in Germany. On the 25th of February 2016 Jascha Muller, a remote sensing specialist at the CGA – Centre for Geographical Analysis, had the opportunity to give a presentation at the Department of Remote Sensing at University of Jena in Germany. He interactively discussed the function of the CGA in general and gave feedback on two projects that were successfully completed by the CGA: one on detecting soil salinity in South Africa and one on the development of a land cover map of the Eastern Cape. The CGA has a collaborative relationship with the University of Jena and students from Germany are regularly trained at the CGA through internships.
