Fonseca Leadership Masters Programme: Enhanced CBNRM Governance – accepting applications

The Centre for Sustainability Transitions at Stellenbosch University and the Centre for African Studies at the University of Florida are welcoming applications for the Fonseca Leadership Programme: Enhanced CBNRM Governance.

The Fonseca Leadership Programme is supporting enhanced Masters training in CBNRM governance in Africa. Eight Fonseca Fellowships are offered per year starting in 2025.

If you are interested in applying, the following criteria must be met:

• Be actively working in CBNRM;
• Be able to integrate this Masters with your work responsibilities;
• Justify how you will implement and measure a process of participatory CBNRM governance empirically at anchor sites;
• Have completed or applied to be enrolled in the Lifethroughwildife certificate in wildlife economy governance and community (see www.lifethroughwildife.com). Click here to access the application to enroll in the Lifethroughwildlife course.

If you do not match the criteria, we encourage you to apply in subsequent years when the criteria may be extended, and/or you are able to work with us to prepare yourself and your site for inclusion in the research programme.
