Dr Kemp obtained his Masters degree in GIS at Stellenbosch University in 2005, and his PhD in Earth Observation at the University of La Réunion in 2010. He is currently a Lecturer in Geoinformatics at the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies at Stellenbosch University. He teaches GIS and Earth Observation courses at 2nd, 3rd and Honours level.
