Kyle Loggenberg graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2018, receiving his MSc degree (Cum Laude) in Geoinformatics.
He is currently a Lecturer in Geoinformatics at the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies at Stellenbosch University, where he teaches GIS and Earth Observation courses at 2nd and postgraduate level. His PhD research focuses on the application of hyperspectral imagery and machine learning in the field of precision viticulture.
- The application of hyperspectral (high-dimensional) data in precision agriculture, crop water stress detection, and proximal remote sensing (i.e. Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems (RPAS), and terrestrial platforms).
