Prof Manfred Spocter is a human geographer with experience in the fields of education, geographic information systems, environmental management, crime analysis, tourism, transport and small-town economic planning. He has vast experience as project manager for research projects in the provinces of the Western Cape, Limpopo, the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and the Free State. These projects have served to inform policy and practice at various levels of government.
Prof Spocter has been the recipient of a certificate of recognition for teaching excellence at Stellenbosch University.
