Dr. Marinda is a Manager for Instructional Design and Development for Pearson South Africa. She obtained a PhD in Curriculum Studies from Stellenbosch University in March 2016 on the role of learning design for active learning using Audience Response Systems. She collaborates as part of the Pearson team with higher educational institutions to convert facilitated qualifications into an online format. Her research includes best practices in technology assisted learning, with a focus on meaningful assessments which are aligned with real-world skills, and motivational factors which play a role in successful distance learning.
