On Friday the 24th of February, the Data CoOp team met with stakeholders to present a Data CoOp project status update and discuss the project’s future. The CGA is currently involved in developing the Data CoOp project involving a centralised geodatabase system for the pome and stone fruit industry. Project co-ordinator, Rebecca Light, present the project aims, objectives, and development status. Attendees of the meeting, including representatives from Hortgro, Fruit Fly Africa, and Fruitways, gave their feedback on the presentation and discussed where the project could go in terms of enhancing research and decision-making in the pome and stone fruit industry. The Data CoOp team aims to showcase a demo version of the Data CoOp web app in June 2023.
