Professor Eli Bitzer

Eli Bitzer is emeritus professor at Stellenbosch University. He has worked in the field of higher education for over 40 years, has published widely and was the editor or co-editor of six scholarly books. He has also successfully supervised over 90 masters and doctoral students. Professor Bitzer is an NRF-rated researcher in the established researcher category, has received the rector's award for excellence in educational research at Stellenbosch University as well as the chancellor's award for a lifelong contribution to promoting excellence in research at the institution. His current interest is promoting postgraduate supervision, supporting academic publishing and facilitating curriculum renewal in higher education.
