Capstone assignment title:
My doctorateness experience and its liminarity: lesson learned and how to improve
Capstone assignment abstract:

Since my first 3 cycle thesis written and defended in 2000 I have been struggling with the protocol and methodology. With the change of the system, I had to present again, a PhD thesis in 2016, in order to upgrade academically. However, It was not easy during the two doctorate to find any supporting protocol or canevas/chart. On my knowledge, as a French speaking, we dont have any documentation on the methodology for doctorate studies in our faculty. From the CREST course, I have learned a lot of things that need to be used for better follow up of doctoral studies in our own department or our faculty. The aim of this capstone assignment for me is to address the issues which can be used to help students and supervisors during a monograph type dissertation based doctorate in Science. This will be done from my previous experience during my two theses, during the supervision of PhD and Masters of Science theses to the lessons learned from the actual CREST, training course for supervisors of doctoral candidates at african universities
