Dr. Ahmed Hassan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Research on Evaluation, Science, and Technology (CREST). Dr. Hassan has a Ph.D. in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence.
Mpho Mafata currently works as a Post-doctoral fellow with the database team at CREST. She previously did research in the applications of Data Science in the fields: Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Sensory evaluation, and Oenology. Her work is intended for transdisciplinary approaches in chemometric and sensometric data fusion.
Dr Corlia Meyer is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST). Her research interests include public perceptions studies, environmental communication, with a strong focus on the South African public.
Dr Similo Ngwenya is a postdoctoral research fellow at the DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Scientometrics and STI Policy (SciSTIP), hosted by the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST). Her main research interests include studies of research collaboration, research uptake, research evaluation and bibliometric analysis.
Dr Dominic Ayegba Okoliko is a postdoctoral research fellow with the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) unit at the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST). His current research focuses on M&E landscape in Africa.
Dr François van Schalkwyk is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST). His main areas of interest include higher education studies, critical data studies and science communication.
CREST covers the broad fields of bibliometrics and scientometrics, research on higher education knowledge production, human resources in science and technology, research evaluation and impact assessment studies and studies on the communication patterns of scientists.
