Capstone assignment title:
The benefits of cohort supervision.
Capstone assignment abstract:

The journey to the Doctoral degree is one of those that can be very lonely. A journey that you need to walk with somebody who will guide you and show you the way to the Doctor (Dr) title. This change in the title, has proved to be one of the most daunting tasks that the journey has. Most of the people who embark on this journey, had to stop, and go while others never even reached their destination. It is mostly regarded that the student who undertakes the post-graduate studies, especially the doctoral studies, must have a promoter, whose function is the promote and assist the student on the journey. The promoter or supervisor (as commonly referred to) is someone who has the supervisor knowledge and has been through the process of being supervised. Supervision becomes more difficult in an open and distance education institution. This is because some od the students only get to meet or see their promoters for the first-time during graduation. Some of the students never get that opportunity of even seeing their promoters. While some institutions require their students to do a face-to-face either of proposal or thesis defense, others have nor such facilities. This then means the student will walk this journey with the ghost promoter till the end of this lonely journey.
