The roles, responsibilities in supervision and reflections of current situation of my institution (University of Namibia) on supervision
Capstone assignment abstract:

Supervision of doctoral candidates requires commitment from the institution, supervisors and candidates. The institution needs to create an attractive institutional environment, while the supervisors are required to support candidates to ensure that such candidate produce high quality scientific work; submit their dissertation and complete their studies on time. A good supervisor needs to be creative, innovative and resource oriented to be able to produce independent scholars. On the other hand, candidates are required to make use of the support provided and adhere to the rules and regulations guiding research studies, so that they can complete within allocated time. This assignment focuses on the roles and responsibilities in supervision, reflections on current situation on supervision at my institution as well as what need to be changed in our context.
