At the beginning of 2019, CREST welcomed 75 new students who have been accepted in our three postgraduate programmes, namely (1) a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, (2) an MPhil in Monitoring and Evaluation Methods; and (3) an MPhil Science and Technology Studies.

A group of 41 students from Botswana, Germany, Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe make up the Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation class. They will complete five modules in three one-week contact sessions and carry out an evaluation report in 15 months to graduate in March 2020.
The MPhil Monitoring and Evaluation Methods class consists of 23 students, representing Ghana, Kenia, Lesotho, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This MPhil degree programme consists of eight modules and assignments over seven one-week contact sessions, followed by a research assignments. Students have the option of completing this over one or two years.
Lastly, we also welcomed 11 new students to the Science and Technology Studies (STS) track within our MPhil programme. They will obtain their degree by completing eight modules and a research assignment over a period of one or two years, in one of the following programme streams: (1) General STS, (2) Research Management and Evaluation or (3) Science and Public Engagement.
