Prof. Mouton presents on UWC as research university

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) has been finalising its new Institutional Operational Plan for the period 2021-2025. As part of this process it was important for UWC to gain an understanding of it stands as an institution in the South African public university system.

Prof. Johann Mouton was invited by UWC’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jose Frantz, to share his thoughts on UWC’s performance during a webinar held on 20 April 2021. During his presentation, Prof. Mouton addressed the issue of whether UWC can consider itself to be a research-led or a research-intensive university.
