We are pleased to inform you that our latest SciByte has now appeared. It addresses a topic that is of great interest to science policy makers, senior research leaders and managers, as well as other stakeholders in the national science system, viz. to what extent are South African academics achieving the NDP target set for 2030 where 75% will be in possession of a doctoral degree.
In this SciByte, Dr Milandré van Lill presents and discusses in detail how the different scientific disciplines have very different profiles when comparing the shares of academics with a PhD. This very detailed analysis is useful and should be valuable to everyone involved in strategic research planning.
