Dr Dominic Ayegba Okoliko obtained his PhD in Public and Development Management from Stellenbosch University under the GEM/DAAD scholarship. He also has backgrounds in philosophy, international relations, and political sciences. His previous research has explored the intersections between communication, public sensemaking, and sustainability practice, and some of his publications have appeared in the Journal of Media Ethics, African Journalism Studies, and Journal of Public Affairs. He has also participated in several transnational and local conversations on the environment, climate change and the media, including the 2022 DAAD Postdoctoral Climate Change Networking Tour in Germany. Before joining the Stellenbosch University community as a DAAD scholar in June 2018, Dr Okoliko worked in the civil society sector where he led a human rights organization in eastern Nigeria.
