PhD candidates are invited to apply for funding in order to participate in the 13th International Doctoral Academy of Global Network for the Economics of Learning, Innovation, and Competence Building Systems (GLOBELICS), taking place 3 – 14 December 2018 in Tshwane, South Africa.
This training is specifically aimed at building skills of doctoral candidates who are undertaking theoretically-informed and policy-relevant empirical studies on innovation, learning, and the interactive dynamics of competence-building for development.
The broad theme this year is “National Systems of Innovation in the Next (also known as the 4th) Industrial Revolution: Conceptual Challenges and Policy Implications”.
Up to 15 students will be selected for funding that will contribute towards their participation in this event.
This event is organised by the Institute for Economic Research on Innovation (IERI) of Tshwane University of Technology, a co-host of the DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Scientometrics and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (SciSTIP).
