Robert Tijssen, professor at CREST and Chair of Science and Innovation Studies at Leiden University (an institutional partner of SciSTIP), works on a range of research topics including the economic potential of academic science, grasping “research excellence”, and supporting innovation for inclusive development.
His expertise in the field of science and innovation is globally recognised, as indicated in a recent (2017) article in Nature, which cites his novel insights on measuring the impact of scientific research.
