Rodrigo Costas has been recently appointed as ‘Extraordinary Associate Professor’ at Stellenbosch University. This appointment is linked to the extensive and successful collaboration between CWTS and CREST during the past 10 years. Both institutions are core partners in the South African Center of Excellence SciSTIP (Scientometrics and Science Technology and Innovation Policy), operational since 2015.
The appointment will contribute to reinforcing SciSTIP research carried out in the areas of altmetrics in Africa, African funding research and the study of research teams in Africa.
