DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Scientometrics and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (SciSTIP) and the South African Research Chair (SARChi) in Science Communication (SciCOM) held a joint conference at Stellenbosch University between 31 October and 3 November 2016.
The conference was preceded by a PhD Colloquium at which a number of SciSTIP and SciCOM PhD candidates presented their work and early results.
The conference was officially opened by Dr Phil Mjwara, Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology. His address was based on a speech prepared by the original keynote speaker Minister Naledi Pandor who was unable to attend the opening. - Bibliometrics and research evaluation
- Challenges in communicating science
