The Postgraduate Diploma Programme (PGDip) in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at CREST is a highly reputable program that offers students the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in M&E. The programme is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to effectively monitor and evaluate programmes and projects in different sectors. With 28 students from various African countries and diverse backgrounds in civil society, health, business, agriculture, and government, the programme offers a unique learning experience that encourages cross-cultural exchange of ideas and best practices.

The first week of the programme, 20 to 24 February 2023, focused on introducing students to the fundamental concepts of M&E, and providing them with the opportunity to create their first theory of change and logic model designs. As the students progress through the programme, they will have the opportunity to engage in a range of practical experiences that will build their skills in M&E. These experiences may include internships, field visits, and research projects that allow them to apply the knowledge they have acquired in real-world situations.

Ultimately, this program will prepare the students to become highly skilled professionals capable of effectively monitoring and evaluating programs and projects in various sectors. The skills they acquire through this program will not only benefit their respective countries but also contribute to the development of the African continent as a whole.
