Capstone assignment title:
Publication standards of PhD students in Sub-Saharan French speaking universities: A case study of ''Université Nationale d’Agriculture (UNA)'' in the Republic of Benin
Capstone assignment abstract:

My capstone assignment was an essay aiming at providing some insights on the breadth of publication in predatory and low-quality journals amongst PhD students in French speaking sub-Saharan universities with a PhD-by-publication system. To this end, the work reported on a survey undertaken to assess the extent of publication in predatory and poor-standard journals by PhD student of the "Université Nationale d'Agriculture (UNA)" in Benin Republic, West Africa. It also reflects on potential drivers of the problem in the local context and potential solutions for better publication ethics.
