The CREST Course for Supervisors of Doctoral Candidates at African Universities has been offered since 2018 and almost 450 Certificate Holders (Alumni) across more than 30 different countries in Africa have already completed it.
The German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD (who is housing the DIES Initiative of the German Rector’s Conference) has recently awarded two further grants to CREST:
- to support various networking and multiplication initiatives during 2022-2023, including alumni networking workshops and the translation the course (partly) into French to enhance access for supervisors in francophone African countries, and
- to fund the course fees of the supervisors of DAAD scholarship holders in Africa for the course offerings in 2022-2024.
