Key players in science communication of the usage and benefits of nuclear science and its technology in South Africa

South Africa has been involved in the usage of nuclear science and technology from the 1950s. The continual use of nuclear science and technology in the country can be attributed to its benefits. Studies conducted by the South African Human Science Research Council have indicated that many South Africans are unaware of these benefits. Science communication about the usage and benefits of nuclear science and technology can help in bringing awareness to the people. This study intends on finding key individuals, organisations and institutions that are involved in science communication of nuclear science and technology. The purpose is to find out from the organisations or individuals how they communicate with the public the usage and benefits of nuclear science and technology, also to identify the challenges they encounter when communicating about nuclear science and technology.
