Capstone assignment abstract:

In this twenty-first century, even in the late twentieth century organizations are increasingly taking the awareness raising of the undoubted benefits that have to embark to join Information Communications Technology (ICT). There are numerous resources that ICTs present that allow support the organization in the administrations, medical consultation, handling and storage of patient information. This is improving the diagnosis, aiming the improvement of medical knowledge and the availability of this knowledge where and when it is needed for proper decision is taken. Prenatal consultations are monitoring and medical care and nursing care during the pregnancy and up to eight weeks postpartum. This consultation aims early diagnosis possible complications to the health of mother and baby, monitor the development of the fetus and prepare delivery. At the moment most Health Center in Mozambique serve pregnant women of the surrounding areas. The query registration process is done in physical books with some inefficiency to maintain customer history over time. In this, it is proposed the creation of a computerized web-based system for prenatal care data management, allowing access a credible, easy, fast and secure customer information.
