Cancellations

 

Staff

1. When a staff member leaves the service of the university, access to parking is automatically cancelled. The last deduction will be shown on the last salary of the staff member.
 
2. To cancel access to parking yourself, send an e-mail to Wendy Robyn at wrobyn@sun.ac.za or Tania Melotte at tmelotte@sun.ac.za.
 
3. For TEMPORARY suspension during STUDY LEAVE OR SABBATICAL: If you will be on study leave for a period of two months or longer, you may request that the deduction of the parking tariff be suspended for the period of your absence.
  3.1 The suspension will be done according to calendar months. Therefore, if you will be using the parking bay for only a part of the month, you will still be liable for the entire month’s payment.
  3.2 Send an e-mail request to your campus parking coordinator. In both cases mention your SU number as well as the period that you will not be on campus.
  3.3 Please note that this information must be received at least one calendar month before the departure in order to suspend payment in time.

Students

1. If a student were to leave the University before the end of the year, access to parking will automatically be cancelled. The parking amount for the rest of the year will be calculated pro rata and returned to the student at the closing of the student’s account.
